Where no gas network exists, Luxfer’s BGT systems meet needs of local governments, gas producers and gas-distribution networks.

Depending on environmental temperature, compressor design and filling speed, G-Stor Pro container systems store more gas than Type 4 (plastic-lined) cylinder systems. Compared to Type 1 (all-metal steel) trailer systems, G-Stor Pro systems transports 80% more gas at a significantly lower vehicle weight.

G-Stor Pro benefits:

True fast-fill capability: Because lightweight Luxfer composite cylinders have Type 3 aluminum liners with high heat-conductivity, heat generated during fast filling quickly dissipates, giving you 95% fill efficiency. Unlike Type 4 technology, you can quickly and completely empty G-Stor Pro modules without being concerned about liner collapse.

CNG container fill measured in Asia Pacific – Type 3 vs. Type 4

Container fillings in Asia show that in a Type 4 container, filling must be stopped at 210 bar due to a too-high gas temperature of 90°C. In a Type 3 container, clients can store around 40% to 50% more natural gas.
